This module covers the process of editorial shoots of magazines or promotional marketing techniques. Here, I discovered the pre-production process and the post-production process. I also delved deeper into technical aspects of photography like lighting, camera framing, image depth, and how I should portray my story through apparel and images.
The “Alter Ego” theme explores the duality within a person’s identity, emphasizing the unity of opposing sides to form a complex whole. It reflects a journey of self-discovery, where embracing hidden and contrasting aspects reveals the beauty of one’s inner complexity. The concept of the editorial focuses on the light and the dark. It represents the coexistence of my contrasting sides, the projected and the hidden self. This editorial story is emphasized through styling, contrasting settings, and dramatic lighting to further emphasize the harmonization of two interconnected personas.
BEHIND-THE-SCENES
The whole idea is a self-discovery journey where the persona enters an illusionary world and confronts a shadowy figure—her hidden self. Realizing they are two halves of the same whole, they merge in a powerful act of acceptance. The subtle, reflective mood highlights the models’ interactions, evoking a deep emotional connection and emphasizing the impact of personal identity exploration. This is the planned-out preparation deck before the actual photoshoot for a more organized creative direction.

This project further elaborates the importance of consistency in concept, styling, and visuals to convey a clear message. Exploring different audience styles and ensuring preparedness with backup plans. This editorial project also improved my skills in layout, typography, color grading, and visual storytelling, helping me create a cohesive and impactful narrative.
The Art of Transformation is the name of the theme that highlights the beauty of personal transformation through self-expression, exploring contrasts like stillness and movement, softness and strength. It reflects modern femininity by showcasing the elegant balance between embracing one’s identity and the unpredictability of growth.
This fashion article aims to inspire Millennials to embrace bohemian fashion as a form of abstract self-expression,blending authenticity into your stylings, and enhancing elegance into a journey of identity empowerment. The editorial shoot, "Echoes of Her," is about identity development and making modern femininity more known by conveying it through serene backdrops, and expressive visual statement styling whilst making use of the composition of rules of thirds. These pages embody the narrative through the creative direction of natural settings and minimalistic styling with captivating visual statements of accessories.
